Students are invited to join us on Wednesdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm for a Waldorf-inspired schedule that includes: Main Lesson, Gardening, Lunch, Creative Movement, and Art.

Main Lesson

Main lessons will focus on folktales from around the world. Starting with outdoor circle time, this class may infuse a variety of activities such as time for the students to share with the class, delving further into stories and cultures, writing, hands on art projects and poetry.

Gardening

Gardening will not only provide students with practical, hands-on experiences that immerse students in the world of food, nature, and community, but also will serve as a powerful tool for addressing pressing issues such as climate change, public health, and social inequality. Beyond the educational value, gardening instills invaluable life lessons and offers a joyful experience for kids of all ages.

CREative Movement

Students will tap into their imagination and spontaneous nature using movement. Creative movement techniques help individuals channel energy into motion and engage their auditory, visual, kinesthetic, and tactile senses. This class encourages body awareness, balance coordination, memory skills, and improved spatial awareness. Students will have fun learning to work individually or in groups while challenging their auditory and physical skills through activities such as rhythmic clapping exercises, echoing patterns, acting out stories through movement, using balls or other props to throw and catch to music, and much more!

Art

In this class we will investigate and experiment with different mediums through process art. Process art focuses on the creative process rather than the end result. Students will familiarize themselves with different techniques and how the materials respond. By doing so, they are able to gain confidence in their creative expression.
