An Immersive Enrichment Day for Grades 7–9
Imagine a school day where students investigate the science behind earthquakes and extreme weather, reconstruct history through building projects, and design immersive theatrical environments from the ground up. That's Tuesday at The Dreamers' School!
Designed for students who enjoy thinking critically, solving problems, and creating with purpose, our Grades 7–9 enrichment day blends science, history, and theater into an engaging, project-based learning experience. Throughout the day, students investigate complex ideas, collaborate with their peers, and bring ambitious projects to life through creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation.
Every experience is designed to strengthen critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and the confidence that comes from tackling meaningful challenges.
Extreme Earth: Weather, Physics & Geology
Our planet is constantly changing, shaped by powerful natural forces that influence every aspect of life. In Extreme Earth, students investigate the science behind weather, geology, and physics through experiments, observation, engineering challenges, and hands-on exploration.
From earthquakes, volcanoes, and plate tectonics to weather systems, rocks and minerals, electricity, magnetism, light, and sound, students examine how scientific principles shape the world around them. Through inquiry-based investigations and real-world applications, they develop analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of Earth's dynamic systems.
History Meets Duct Tape
History is more than a collection of dates—it's a story of innovation, conflict, exploration, and human achievement. In History Meets Duct Tape, students experience history by designing and constructing projects inspired by civilizations, historical events, and engineering accomplishments from the past.
Using cardboard, wood, duct tape, and other creative materials, students build forts, siege engines, shields, boats, armor, architectural structures, and historical models while exploring the cultures and technologies that shaped our world. Each project challenges students to think critically about design, strategy, craftsmanship, and historical context while making meaningful connections between the past and the present.
Stagecraft: Behind the Curtain
Every unforgettable performance begins with a team of creative designers, builders, and problem-solvers working behind the scenes.
In Stagecraft: Behind the Curtain, students explore the art and engineering of theatrical production by designing scenery, constructing set pieces, creating props, experimenting with lighting and visual effects, and solving the creative challenges that transform a script into an immersive experience.
Working collaboratively, students learn the principles of production design, visual storytelling, craftsmanship, and technical theater while bringing original ideas to life. Whether constructing a realistic environment, developing theatrical illusions, or designing the visual identity of a performance, students gain valuable experience in creative collaboration and project-based design.
Every Tuesday is an opportunity to think critically, create boldly, and challenge yourself in new ways. Whether investigating scientific phenomena, reconstructing history, or designing immersive theatrical spaces, students leave with practical skills, creative confidence, and the satisfaction of bringing ambitious ideas to life.
This isn't just another day of school. It's a place where curiosity becomes innovation, ideas become reality, and students discover what they're capable of creating.
