Main Lesson Teacher: Zach Giese

Main Lesson

Our middle school program supports students as they move toward greater independence and intellectual curiosity. Students explore complex ideas through deeper academic study, research, and discussion. Writing becomes more analytical, and students practice expressing their ideas clearly through essays and presentations. In mathematics, students build strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills as they work through increasingly challenging concepts.

  • Artistic Projects- There will be a focus on artistic activities that encourage the child’s natural sense of beauty and color.

  • Outdoor and Play Times- These activities will be incorporated into the day so that students have a natural balance of active play time and time to quietly focus.

PE

In this class students will participate in various physical activities that promote learning through movement and play, encourages teamwork, and helps develop motor skills.

CREATIVE THINKING & PROBLEM SOLVING

This class is designed to help students develop stronger creative thinking and problem-solving skills through engaging, hands-on activities. Students will explore puzzles, strategy games, word problems, board games, philosophy discussions, and elements of psychology to better understand how to think, reason, and make decisions. Through collaborative challenges and group activities, students will practice looking at problems from multiple perspectives, experimenting with new ideas, and working together. The class encourages curiosity, imagination, and thoughtful discussion while helping students build confidence in their ability to think independently and creatively. With logic, play, reflection, and teamwork, students will learn how to approach complex problems with creativity, flexibility, and critical thinking.
