A Hands-On Enrichment Day for Grades 5–6

Imagine a school day where students investigate erupting volcanoes, construct medieval fortresses, and transform an ordinary classroom into a magical world for the stage. That's Tuesday at The Dreamers' School.

Designed for curious, creative learners, our Grades 5–6 enrichment day invites students to explore the world, step into the past, and create worlds of their own. Through science, history, and theater, students spend the day asking questions, solving problems, building with their hands, and discovering the joy of meaningful work.

Every experience is thoughtfully designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, collaboration, craftsmanship, and the confidence that comes from turning ideas into reality.

Extreme Earth: Weather, Physics & Geology

The Earth is full of wonder, power, and mystery. In Extreme Earth, students investigate the incredible forces that shape our planet through experiments, observation, and hands-on discovery.

From erupting volcanoes and powerful earthquakes to weather systems, rocks and minerals, magnets, light, and sound, students explore the science behind the world around them. Through engaging investigations, creative projects, and nature-based exploration, they develop critical thinking skills while nurturing a lifelong sense of curiosity and appreciation for the natural world.

History Meets Duct Tape

History comes alive through storytelling, imagination, and hands-on creation. Each week, students journey to a different time and place as they explore ancient civilizations, legendary heroes, remarkable cultures, and pivotal moments that shaped our world.

Using cardboard, wood, duct tape, and plenty of creativity, they'll construct castles, forts, shields, armor, boats, and other historical creations inspired by the people they are studying. Along the way, students develop craftsmanship, perseverance, and a deeper understanding of history by experiencing it with both their minds and their hands.

Stagecraft: Behind the Curtain

Every great performance begins long before the curtain rises. In Stagecraft: Behind the Curtain, students step into the exciting world of theater production and discover the creativity, craftsmanship, and problem-solving that bring stories to life.

Working together, they'll design and build scenery, create props, experiment with lighting and special effects, and transform ordinary materials into extraordinary stage environments. From enchanted forests and pirate ships to medieval villages and magical kingdoms, each project challenges students to think like artists, builders, and designers while collaborating to create immersive worlds.

By stepping behind the scenes, students discover that theater is about far more than acting—it's about imagination, innovation, teamwork, and the joy of creating something unforgettable together.

Every Tuesday, students leave with new ideas, new skills, and something they're proud to have created. Whether they're investigating the forces that shape our planet, building the past one project at a time, or creating the magic behind the curtain, they experience learning as an adventure—one filled with curiosity, creativity, and discovery.

This isn't just another day of school. It's a day to explore boldly, create fearlessly, and discover what you're capable of.
